Improving Maidenhead town centre

Maidenhead is a great place to live and work, but many people want to see a better town centre. Maidenhead enjoys many advantages – good rail links with London, close proximity to Heathrow Airport, the local waterways, and beautiful surrounding countryside. It is no wonder that many businesses want to set up here, and that there is strong demand for local houses. To ensure that Maidenhead makes the most of these advantages, Theresa is supporting efforts to rejuvenate the town centre.Read More

Safeguarding services at St Marks Hospital

Theresa has campaigned for many years to keep vital services at St Marks Hospital in Maidenhead and to bring in new services for the benefit of local residents. In 2008, Theresa joined with the Maidenhead Advertiser to successfully campaign for a minor injuries unit at St Marks. Having seen a number of services taken away from Maidenhead over recent years, Theresa was delighted that the campaign was able to bring this vital service to St Marks in the form of the new Urgent Care Centre. The Centre is now open and Theresa is keen to ensure that it remains open with optimum services available.Read More

Monitoring flight paths

Theresa is often contacted by constituents who are concerned about the levels of aircraft noise over Maidenhead, Twyford and the local area. The expansion would have resulted in thousands of additional flights, increased noise and more pollution for thousands of people. Theresa has welcomed the news that the current Government has cancelled the third runway project, but she is still keen to monitor developments and respond to concerns raised by local people about flight paths.Read More
