Theresa May is supporting a new campaign to help secure the first EU referendum in 40 years. The ‘Let Britain Decide’ campaign has been launched by the Prime Minister to encourage people to support a new Bill, which is about to be introduced to Parliament and will pave the way for an In-Out referendum on the EU to be held in 2017 after a full renegotiation. Theresa May has welcomed the news that a new school has been approved for Bray. Bray Free Primary School has been approved by Ministers as one of 102 new free schools to open across England from September 2014 and beyond. Free schools are new state schools opened by groups of parents, teachers or charities. They give parents more choice of school and ensure more children can get a great state education. Bray Free Primary School joins Holyport College as local free schools that have received approval.Read More

Theresa May has welcomed assurances from Heathrow Airport Holdings that they will not be pursuing proposals for a new airport at White Waltham Airfield. Recent media reports revealed that proposals for a new four-runway airport at White Waltham were being considered as part of Heathrow’s submission to the Government’s Airports Commission. Theresa May has called on Heathrow bosses to rule out any expansion at White Waltham Airfield, following recent speculation that plans are being drawn up to locate a new airport at the site near Maidenhead. Reports have suggested that Heathrow Airport Holdings have considered proposals for a new four-runway airport at White Waltham as part of their plan for the future of airports around London. Theresa May has expressed disappointment at the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead’s decision to refuse planning permission for the Kings Triangle project in Maidenhead town centre. The decision was taken by the Royal Borough’s Development Control Panel and means that the project – which would bring new shops, homes and offices to the town centre – cannot proceed for the time being. Theresa has previously supported the proposals and called on the council to approve them.Read More
