Infrastructure boost for Maidenhead in Coalition Mid-Term Review

Theresa May has welcomed the Coalition Government’s ‘Mid-Term Review’ which has confirmed the progress of several infrastructure projects that will boost the Maidenhead area. The ‘Mid-Term Review’ document, published by the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, confirms the Government’s commitment to a new western rail link to Heathrow Airport, and the Crossrail project. Theresa discusses local broadband provision with BT

Theresa May has held a meeting with senior executives at BT to discuss her constituents’ concerns about the provision of broadband and super fast broadband in parts of her constituency. A number of constituents in Waltham St Lawrence, Fifield and Hurley have raised issues about their broadband connectivity and Theresa sought assurances from BT that action was being taken to address them. Theresa raised her specific concern about the negative effect on businesses and people working from home that a lack of broadband connectivity has.Read More

Theresa calls on council to look again at crèche closure

Theresa May has responded to reports that the crèche at the Magnet Leisure Centre is to be closed by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. A group of local mothers and fathers supporting the continuation of the crèche has collected nearly 700 signatures on a petition calling the Royal Borough to reconsider their decision which Theresa is presenting to the Council.Read More

Anger over steep increases in car parking charges at local train stations

Theresa May has reacted angrily after First Great Western announced a hike of over 25% on car parking charges at Maidenhead and Twyford train stations.
