Theresa May has met developers to discuss plans for the Kings Triangle project in Maidenhead town centre. The Kings Triangle redevelopment will transform the area north of Maidenhead Station, between King Street and Queen Street, with new shops, homes and offices. Theresa met ING Real Estate Developments, who are delivering the plan in partnership with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, as well as the architects and planning consultants.Read More

Theresa May has welcomed the news that a decision on the future of mental health services in East Berkshire has been postponed. The decision, due to be taken on 12th July, could have seen Charles Ward at St Marks Hospital closed and services for older people moved to Reading. Following considerable public opposition, NHS Berkshire East and Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust have agreed to undertake further work before making further proposals.Read More

Theresa May is encouraging local residents to attend a special public meeting to discuss the future of Charles Ward at St Marks Hospital amid a threat to move mental health services for older people to Reading. Members of the public are invited to the Adult Services and Health Overview and Scrutiny Panel meeting on Monday 11th July, where questions will be put to the Chief Executive of Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust which has proposed the move.Read More

Theresa May has welcomed the news that another local school has converted to Academy status. The Piggott School has followed Lowbrook Primary School to become the second school in the Maidenhead constituency to gain Academy status, which brings with it freedom from local authority control and greater freedoms over the curriculum and finances.Read More
