  • 23 Mar 2018

On Friday 16 March, Theresa attended and officially opened the new Right at Home offices in Twyford. This is their second office in the Maidenhead constituency.

During the visit, Theresa spoke to several Right at Home CareGivers, along with owner Kevin Lancaster about the care system and what training and support is given to both carers and residents at what was also the opening of Right at Home’s 50th office across the UK.

Right at Home is a care service provider which offers support to some of the most vulnerable people whilst enabling them to remain in their own home. Providing homecare services locally across Slough, Windsor, Reading and surrounding communities, Right at Home are looking to recruit a further 100 CareGivers across Berkshire over the next twelve months.

During the visit, Theresa spoke with some of the carers, known as CareGivers, about their experiences and determination to put the choices of vulnerable people first.

Commenting on the visit Theresa said:

“It was heart-warming to hear how passionate Right at Home’s CareGivers are about the difference they make to people’s lives.

By being that regular visitor and building that friendly and trusting relationship with residents, they are providing them with as much independence as possible and it was wonderful to see just how much satisfaction CareGivers get from helping others.

“Being a carer no doubt has its challenges, but the training and support provided by Kevin and his team to enable CareGivers to help some of the most vulnerable people in our society is something that should be commended.”
