After a few weeks of uncertainty about the future of Bisham Primary School, Theresa May is pleased that the interim executive board at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead has agreed to seek the agreement of the Department for Education for the school to become an Academy as part of the Ashley Hill Multi-Academy.

“I am very pleased that Bisham Primary School is soon to become an Academy as I understand that there were many concerns about its future existence.
Good schools are very important for local communities across the Maidenhead constituency as it is imperative to provide both parents and pupils with high quality care and education.
The change of status will improve the education offered to all pupils and make Bisham Primary School an attractive place for many new parents seeking a primary school in 2017.”
Further details are currently being discussed with the parents and work will then commence to ensure a smooth transition.
