In April Theresa was informed about the possible termination of three local bus routes, 8 and 16/16A, which are used by commuters and especially school children.
However, it was recently announced that bus routes 8 and 16/16A will continue to run.
Theresa May:
“I am very pleased that all three bus routes will continue as planned as I know that many local residents, including children, rely on these routes to get to and from school and work.
I know that the Royal Borough is committed to supporting local bus services as they are essential in supporting the objectives of the Borough Local Plan, which is to improve good travel options for schools, supporting town centres and providing residents with flexibility around mobility.”
