Theresa May MP visits the Sonning Scarecrow Trail

  • 6 Jun 2018

The Bank holiday saw the return of the bi-annual Sonning Scarecrow Trail where local residents design their own scarecrow as part of a fun-filled day for families and visitors to enjoy.

Thousands of people visited the village to view this year’s scarecrows which included the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex, suffragette leader, Emmeline Pankhurst and the judges from Strictly Come Dancing.

Theresa said:

‘This is a great community event where families and visitors can come to enjoy the trail. It was very well organised and great to see how creative some of the entries were.’

The Sonning Scarecrow trail runs every two years, the next one taking place in 2020.
