The Royal Berkshire Hospital has been rated ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) with inspectors reporting that it has made ‘significant improvement’.

The Trust’s overall rating has risen to ‘good’ as the Trust’s other sites were not inspected during this visit. The Trust’s last inspection was in March 2014 when the Trust was rated as ‘requires improvement’.

“I am very pleased that the Royal Berkshire Hospital has been rated ‘outstanding’ and that it has taken on board the CQC ’s recommendations.

Many local residents use this hospital and it is vital that we offer the absolute best services so that everyone can feel save and secure.”
