Theresa would like to see as many Maidenhead children as possible enter the competition which will see the winning design created into a unique democracy-themed tile. The deadline for entries is 31 August 2020.

Theresa said: “This year we are celebrating 150 years of the Palace of Westminster. The United Kingdom has proud democratic traditions and the Palace of Westminster is at the heart of our politics and democracy.

I know from my annual Christmas card competition run by the Advertiser how many good young artists there are in Maidenhead so I hope many of you will enter the competition.

This competition is a fantastic opportunity to engage the next generation in the important history of Parliament and politics
