Celebrating 80 years of Citizens Advice

  • 30 Sep 2019

On 27th September, Theresa attended celebrations to mark 80 years of the Citizens Advice service.

Theresa attended the Wokingham Citizen Advice office alongside the HRH, The Princess Royal, who is Patron of the charity, to mark the anniversary. Other local MPs were also in attendance. Guests received a tour of the newly refurbished offices and meet with some of Wokingham’s volunteers as well as people that Citizens Advice has helped.

Commenting on the importance of Citizens Advice, Theresa said: “Often people feel wary of asking for help, but if they had gone earlier, maybe the problem would not have escalated. It’s all about seeing a friendly face.”
