On Wednesday (16th December) Theresa met with Dr. Liam Fox MP to discuss his groundbreaking Down Syndrome Bill.
Theresa is supporting this Bill which aims to better meet the needs of persons with Down syndrome; to place a duty on local authorities to assess the likely social care needs of persons with Down syndrome and plan provision accordingly.
The Bill has passed its second reading in the House of Commons and will go through the committee stage in January 2022.
Theresa is incredibly pleased to be supporting this piece of legislation and will be following its passage through Parliament closely.
