Theresa attacks government’s decision over Badnell’s Pit development

  • 28 Jan 2009

Theresa May is disappointed that despite a strong campaign led by her and local residents the plan to build over 402 homes on the Badnell’s Pit site has been approved.

Theresa said: “I strongly believe that this is the wrong decision for the local community and am hugely disappointed with the Secretary of State’s decision to give it the green light. The Royal Borough has already met their development targets for the next six years and this is yet another case of over-development of the Maidenhead area. What concerns me most is the increased strain this development will place on local infrastructure and facilities which are already overstretched.”
