They include:

  • Jonathan Schofield – Canoeing (Olympics)

  • Rachel Cawthorn – Canoeing (Olympics)

  • Sophie Christiansen MBE – Dressage (Paralympics)

  • Hannah Macleod – Hockey (Olympics)

  • Emily Maguire – Hockey (Olympics)

  • Anne Panter – Hockey (Olympics)

  • Helen Richardson – Hockey (Olympics)

  • Kate Walsh – Hockey (Olympics)

  • Tom Aggar – Rowing (Paralympics)

  • Katherine Grainger – Rowing (Olympics)

  • Rob Williams – Rowing (Olympics)

  • Justin Phillips – Volleyball (Paralympics)
  • Theresa has written to each of these – all of whom live in Maidenhead or Twyford – to congratulate them on their selection and to wish them well for the Games.

Commenting, Theresa said: “It is great to see that a number of local people will be representing Team GB at the Olympics and Paralympics. Nothing could be more inspirational for our local young people than seeing competitors from their own communities representing their country at such a high level.”
