Theresa continues to campaign as nearly 7,000 people benefit from St Marks Minor Injuries Unit

  • 13 Jul 2009

Recently published figures show an increase in the number of people using St Marks Minor Injuries Unit in the past few months. The Unit opened in September on a temporary basis after a strong local campaign led by the Maidenhead Advertiser and Theresa May in which they convinced Berkshire East Primary Care Trust (PCT) of the need for such a facility in Maidenhead.

Theresa is now encouraging people to sign her petition so we can keep this invaluable service which 6,917 patients have benefited from so far.

Commenting, Theresa said, “These figures prove the need for a Minor Injuries Unit at St Marks Hospital. This is an important service for Maidenhead which is a real improvement in our local NHS facilities. We need it to be made permanent so please help keep the Minor Injuries Unit at St Marks Hospital open. Together with the Maidenhead Advertiser I have already collected over 5,500 signatures for my petition. If you still haven’t signed up you can do so in the campaigns section of my website.” Click here to sign the petition
