Theresa May helps out with the Great Plastic Pick Up

  • 16 May 2018

On Friday 11th May, Theresa joined local children in a litter pick at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Maidenhead.

Equipped with gloves and bags, Theresa took part in the session as part of the 'Great Plastic pick up' campaign organised by the Daily Mail and Keep Britain Tidy as part of a national drive to battle against plastic pollution which saw schools and community groups up and down the country taking part.

Theresa said:

“Thousands of people were out in their communities at Great Plastic Pick Up events like this over the weekend, making a real difference by collecting plastic from streets, parks and public spaces.

It was so encouraging to see how passionate these young people are about their environment and they all worked very hard.”
