Opening of new Bridge

Theresa May MP attends the opening of new bridge

  • 18 Sep 2018

On Monday 17th September, Theresa took part in the offical opening a new pedestrian and cycle bridge in Maidenhead.

The bridge over The Cut is named Margaret’s Bridge in honour of local rambler and campaigner Margaret Bowdery MBE. The bridge links Braywick Park to Oldfield School.

Theresa said:

“Margaret Bowdery ensured that spaces were opened up for people to be able to enjoy the countryside and their local environment: I think Margaret’s bridge is a fine addition to Maidenhead.”
