From the entries to my Christmas card competition, to the lights in the town centre and events like the Stroke Club Christmas party- I am always pleased to see Maidenhead embracing the Christmas spirit and to join members of our local community as they celebrate Christmas.
While we celebrate Christmas we should never forget those who will be working over the Christmas period so that we can enjoy the festivities, particularly those working in our emergency services. To them all we say a heartfelt thank you. We should also remember that for some Christmas is a difficult time perhaps because they will be on their own or because of their circumstances.
At this special time when we reflect upon the past year I want to take this opportunity to wish all my constituents across Maidenhead a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
