On Tuesday 13 March Theresa attended the ‘Green Heart Hero Awards’ in Parliament to support St Mary’s Catholic Primary School. Theresa had nominated the school for its commitment to clean up the environment.

Representatives from St Mary’s travelled to Parliament to attend the awards ceremony where they received the award for ‘Greenest School’ in recognition of environmental work.

At the event organised by the Climate Coalition, Theresa met with representatives to congratulated them on their efforts.

Theresa:

"I would like to congratulate St. Mary's Catholic Primary School in my constituency for winning the Climate Coalition’s Green Heart Hero Award for the Greenest School.

Staff and pupils at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School have been dedicated to reducing their impact on the environment for over a decade and it is wonderful to see their hard work recognised through this award.

I hope that schools across the country will be inspired by the eco accomplishments at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School and pledge to do more to protect the environment."
