On Friday 1 June, Theresa officially opened St Mary’s Church in Maidenhead.
The church has recently undergone a substantial refurbishment and over 300 people gathered to celebrate the official opening.
Reverend Will Stileman spoke about the history of the church before showing a film of the community work the church is involved in.
Theresa then officially declared open the church by playing a note on the newly commissioned organ.
Speaking at the opening, Theresa said:
“It’s very good to be here to celebrate this wonderful refurbishment of the church and I want to thank everybody involved in making happen.
Whilst there has been a change of how the church looks on the inside, the work that goes on outside of it and in the local community remains as strong as ever with its involvement in so many good local causes.”
