Theresa opposes new plan for Sandford farm development

  • 4 Feb 2008

Theresa May has reacted to reports of yet another plan for development on Sandford Farm. The latest plan is expected to include provision for 800 houses and 150 care village homes.

Theresa said, “Once again the residents of Charvil, Woodley and Hurst are facing an unwanted plan for development on Sandford Farm. This is a monstrous application. The increase in traffic resulting from the previous plan would have been bad enough. Now the developer is planning nearly 1,000 new homes on the site. Local roads simply will not be able to cope, and there will be a significant loss of local amenity. I urge local residents to stand up against this proposal. I will be objecting strongly and I hope the Council take note of local people’s concerns.”
