Theresa May has been re-elected as MP for Maidenhead at the General Election. Theresa won 66% of the vote, giving her a majority of 29,059 – an increase from 16,769 in 2010. Speaking as the result was announced, she said: “I am very pleased but hugely grateful to voters in Maidenhead who have done me this tremendous honour. I hope it is because I make every effort I can to work hard for the local constituency and take up issues that matter to people in Maidenhead such as the town centre, the train services and retaining services at St Mark’s Hospital and schools.”

“My pledge is to continue to work hard for the constituency to ensure I represent people as I hope they wish to be represented.”
