Theresa reacts to council decision to defer Kings Triangle decision

  • 13 Dec 2012

Theresa May has reacted to the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead’s decision to defer planning permission for the Kings Triangle project in Maidenhead town centre. The decision was taken by the Royal Borough’s Development Control Panel and means that the project – which would bring new shops, homes and offices to the town centre – will be reconsidered in early 2013.

Commenting, Theresa said: “The Kings Triangle site is a crucial one for Maidenhead town centre and I am concerned that a long delay will threaten much-needed investment in the town centre. The developers must now look at the concerns that led to the application not being approved at this time, and I hope that they can work with the Royal Borough to find solutions so that things can move forward in the New Year.”
