Theresa welcomes FGW double compensation offer

  • 23 Jan 2008

Theresa May has welcomed the move by First Great Western (FGW) boss Andrew Haines to give regular commuters double compensation following the appalling train service that they have endured over the last year.

Theresa said, “After the appalling service local commuters have had to put up with over the past year, it is about time they got something back from FGW. I welcome the move by FGW boss Andrew Haines to give double compensation to FGW customers and the recognition from FGW that local people deserve a better service. However as well as compensation, FGW need to work much harder to improve the service they offer to local commuters in Maidenhead and Twyford so that this situation never happens again”.
