Maidenhead MP Theresa May welcomes the announcement of over £6million funding being made available by the Government to support A&E capacity across our local area.
This vital funding includes £4.5million for the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and £1.8million for Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.
This welcome investment will help ensure our local NHS is prepared to cope with winter pressures and reduce the risks associated with further outbreaks of Covid.
Theresa commented: “This funding is extremely welcome and will help both the Royal Berkshire Hospital and Wexham Park Hospital.
When I was Prime Minister, I gave the NHS the largest cash injection in its history and I welcome the fact that the Government are continuing to invest in our NHS”.
