Theresa visits CityFibre in Maidenhead.

Last weekend Theresa stopped by CityFibre in Maidenhead to recieve an update on the potential economic impact of CityFibre's full fibre broadband roll out in Maidenhead.

CityFibre’s rollout in Maidenhead is part of a £4bn investment into building the UK a future-proof digital infrastructure to bring ultrafast connectivity across 285 locations to 8m homes, 800,000 businesses and 400,000 public sector sites.

The local research conducted by CityFibre estimates that, over a fifteen-year period, the positive impacts of CityFibre’s £14m investment in Maidenhead include up to £146m in productivity and innovation gains, £32m from a widened workforce, £3m in Local Authority efficiency savings and a reduction of over 7k tonnes in CO2 emissions.

Theresa found the site visit incredibly interesting and useful to see where the network originates from and how our future proof infrastructure all fits together.
