Broadband access is still a problem for some rural communities and businesses across the constituency.
Theresa was therefore delighted when BT signed a contract with Berkshire’s six unitary councils, including the Royal Borough and Wokingham Borough, as part of Phase 1 of the Superfast Broadband project.
Superfast Broadband continues to progress and is set to increase superfast coverage in all those districts participating to 92.5% by September 2015, increasing to 95% or above by December 2017.
Theresa maintains a close interest in this issue and regularly presses the agencies involved to ensure this commitment is met. She welcomes comments from her constituents who experience broadband problems and often raises individual cases with officials.
